Unfortunately, mental health is quite obviously stigmatized, even in modern society (refer back to Vol. 5 for specifics); however, there’s a bright side, and that’s that people are becoming continuously more aware of this fact as time progresses. To help work towards an unstigmatized world, be sure to get your information on mental health from reliable and academic sources! One key point to check for is .edu (education) or .org (organization) at the end of your web address. .com (commercial) indicates that the website is for profit, which is unreliable and oftentimes clickbait. We’re sure your teachers have said it a thousand times, but anybody can edit a Wikipedia article, so don’t use it if you want official information! Well-known resources that you’ve heard the name of before (Mental Floss, Merriam-Webster, etcetera) and university/college websites have a higher chance of being purely factual and unbiased or not stigmatized. Rasmussen University in particular has a helpful list of reliable search engines, including Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic; said website is linked in our sources down below.
